This beautiful boy in blue is Liam. I was in Victoria for vacation this past week and was lucky enough to squeeze in a session with this little darling. Liam's dad is my cousin, Adam, so I guess that makes me his second cousin? great cousin aunt? Not sure. I DO know that Liam is blessed by parents that are absolutely over the moon in love with him.
Adam and Cheryl...you are beautiful people and amazing parents. This little boy is so fortunate to have you as his role models for love. It was so great having a visit with you; I look forward to next time! Snuggles to Liam!

bryce + ali {couples}

If you happen to be related to a budding photographer, chances are you are going to be used. Such is the case with my brother and sister-in-law, Bryce and Ali. Bryce is my hubby's youngest brother and Ali is his lovely wife of just over one year. The more I learn about photography, the more I want to practice and grow in my skill. Thankfully, these two are ridiculously good looking models and were willing to oblige my demands. My husband came along with us on our photo adventure, and I must say, it was a pretty awesome double date! maren + fred {portrait}

There is something beautiful about a girl and her horse. The lovely girl in these pictures is my cousin, Maren; the horse is her beloved Fred. A few nights ago, I went with Maren to the barn where Fred lives to get some photos of her doing what she loves and does best...caring for her horse. Fred was quite seriously ill over the last couple years, but Maren stuck by him, persisted and nursed him; she drove to the barn multiple times a day for dressing changes, injections, appointments...not to mention the everyday basic care...all for the love of Fred. 

Maren - you are a young woman of passion and determination. Fred is a blessed horse to have you as his own; and, even though the stinker wasn't in the mood to model for these pictures, I know he loves you. I do too.
