sweeter by the day...

this little girl truly grows sweeter by the day. I have more photos to share of her first few weeks, and an engagement session to post tomorrow, but I couldn't keep this picture to myself. 16 days old and oh so lovely.

This session was a fun one for me. Steve and the kids dropped me off at Mike and Sheri's beautiful property, and the first thing they did was invite my girls in to see their brand new puppies! These little guys were so cute....how could I not include them in some photos?
We spent our time walking around favourite spots in their yard, and I happily tagged along and did my best to capture this family at this season in their life. Having four kids on board for an hour of photos is a tall order for any parent, but these kids were troopers. We took breaks to cuddle puppies, catch caterpillars and even attempted to net some frogs!
Mike + Sheri ~ you have a beautiful family! I enjoyed getting to spend an evening with you and your kiddos...and all their creatures :)

anna grace

...our third daughter, Anna Grace Edelman, was born last Monday, October 24th...

...she arrived at 8:50am, weighing 6lbs 7oz...

and we love her...already.

...her sisters kiss her, touch her, adorn her with princess paraphenalia...

...they sing to her and dance for her...

...they do not like it when she poops or cries...

...her daddy loves her, carries her, takes pictures of her, makes me coffee...

...he is surrounded by girls and is taking care of us all so well...

...and me, I am soaking it in...big time...

...I stare at her and stare at her and stare at her...

...I marvel at how she is enveloped so quickly by friends and family..simply by being...

...I love the sound of her eating, her faces as she sleeps, and finally being able to kiss her...

...how on earth can anyone's skin be so soft?...

...our prayer is that she will be a woman who both gives grace to others...

...and is able to receive and experience the amazing grace of God in her life...

...welcome to the world, sweet baby girl...

Here's a little maternity session that is near and dear to my heart. This beautiful woman is growing inside her, my very first niece!!!! Sarah and my brother Colin have already proven their expert technique at creating exceptionally beautiful children. Rupert, who is 2.5 was my first nephew and also a very first cousin to my girls. One of the reasons I loved doing these photos is that I got to have a small but of "auntie" time with this little guy; normally, all 3 kids are running around creating havoc and giggles, so it was great to hang out with just Rupes and his mom and dad :)
This baby girl is due to arrive at the beginning of 2012...and we will be ready! Baby girl - you are loved and looked forward to so much already. Colin, Sarah + Rupes - you all are loved too! Thanks for letting me do my thing and capture this special time  :)
