We go waaaay back with this lovely family. They knew us before we even started dating, spending a summer together at Camp Q, and later at my church as youth leaders. Leanne and I have kept in touch sporatically over the years, and it has been the easiest thing to jump back into a friendship with her since our move to Victoria. They are the kind of friends that take your kids for the weekend (even though they have four of their own), that invite you over for delicious meals (I'm pretty sure they have a five loaves, two fishes thing going on in their house), that don't care if you're wearing makeup for your playdate, and that leave phone messages that make you giggle.
Needless to say, this session was a pleasure. We caught the last of our amazing extended summer, and timed the session so we would get the glowy golden light in Beacon Hill Park. The kids were amazingly well behaved, and I would like to think we had fun...right guys???

Oh, this family.  There is quite a story behind this session, and these pictures have been a long time coming, but I finally get to share them with you. If you recognize these lovely folks, it's because they were in the wedding party of Mat + Leigh-Ann (a few posts back on the blog). We've gotten to know John + Christie a little bit over the summer, and have so enjoyed spending time with them. Christie and I hit it off immediately, and got right into mommy chat...you know, the kind of conversation that just keeps going and going, only to be interrupted by a toddler running off, or a baby needing to eat.  John and Steve just ambled slowly behind us, stopping when it was time to get a few snaps in.
To the fabulous family of four ~ Thanks for being so wonderful to work with! We truly look forward to doing this regularly over the years...and hopefully a few visits in between.
