.adam + cheryl. victoria family photography

I am kind of loving this season. It's a break from the mayhem of wedding season (which I also love), and a chance to catch up. It's also a time to plan for the season to come (so excited for this years engagements and weddings!), play a few too many rounds of snakes and ladders, register daughter #2 for kindergarten (tear), deep clean closets and cupboards, rev up the treadmill, (the countdown is on until the first wedding of the year…in Mexico!) and also catch up on blogging.
This session features my cousin Adam, his lovely wife Cheryl and their two little boys! Now, I'm not sure on the proper term for your cousins kids, but they call me Auntie Megan and I think they're adorable :) Also, if they look a little familiar, it's because both Adam + Cheryl are reporter/ anchors for CTV Vancouver Island! We started the session at their place, cuddling on the couch with a favourite book, and then went for a walk to Bowker Creek. It was a good day.

.lucy estelle.

I, by no means, am a newborn photographer. There are so many photographers out there that have so much talent in this area, so for the most part, I will leave the babies to them. But, when there is a babe born that is near and dear to my heart, I really can't help myself. Lucy is one of those such babes. Lucy's mom, Estelle, is my long time best friend. Our friendship has covered so much ground, we could literally write a novel (trust me, we already have chapters named). One thing we have in common is a journey through infertility. So, this makes Lucy extra special. Although I couldn't be there for her birth (I don't think I put my phone down the day she was born), me and my two oldest girls were able to come visit in early December. Lucy's big sister, Claire (another extra-special girl)  fell ill that morning, so although the day didn't go exactly as we mommas had planned, I managed to get a few pictures and plenty of  sweet snuggles. Lucy...you are an absolute gift from God, and oh, so loved!

. the big sister, Claire ...poor sick girl .

. and then it was back to sleep...sweet dreams Lucy Goosey .
