This precious baby girl stopped by on her four week birthday for some snuggles, a visit and of course a few snaps (I'm still waiting to do a family session with her mom and dad). Pure beauty just radiates from this little lady. To make it even more special, Claire shared her first genuine smiles at the session; pretty exciting to capture such special moments. After a few minutes, she was far more keen on nursing than having her pictures taken, and not even remotely interested in doing some sleeping shots :)

richie + lindsay {couples}

Those of you who know me or follow my facebook page will know that I just returned from an amazing vacation in the Mayan Riviera with my hubby. On our second night, while eating at a yummy Japanese restaurant, we met this great couple - Richie and Lindsay. We totally enjoyed hanging out with them throughout the week and getting to know them a bit. And, because I will likely not be shooting in this location again for a loooooong time, I thought it would be fun to take 5 minutes (quite literally) and do a mini-session with my new pals. Low afternoon light and the turquoise waters of the Carribean....not too shabby.
Richie + Lindsay ~ We came in for tempura and chicken teriyaki...and came out with some new friends. Remember to call us when you take that Alaskan cruise :)

 

 

adam + cheryl + liam {family}

I really sometimes think that I photograph the best looking people in the world. Nevermind that these folks are family - they are all just ridiculously adorable!
I met up with my cousin Adam, his wife Cheryl and their 5 month old little man, Liam when I was on the island  two weeks ago. You may remember his adorable, little face from his newborn session; my goodness has he ever grown up! Liam had just woken up from a nap when I arrived, so he was quite mellow for the first part of the session inside; we worked pretty hard to pull some smiles from him and he rewarded us with a few grins. Mind you, I think his face is just precious regardless of his expression.
Adam and Cheryl - it was great to catch up with you all. Your family is so great to photograph as the love between you is so very obvious - thanks for sharing your morning with me! xoxo

matt + erika {family}

This is one of the last sessions I squeezed in before the snow took our beautiful fall away. After dozens of emails, Erika and I were finally able to connect our schedules (this is how it rolls with two working moms); a certain little boy's black eye healed and the rain stayed away! Never mind the sub zero temperatures.
I met up with Erika, her husband, Matt, their two kiddos and her parents at the Trethewey House last weekend. What a gorgeous bunch of people to work with! Not only did they stay warm, but they stayed warm in style. This is one thing I'm loving about fall/winter photography....the scarves, coats, and cuddles to keep warm...it lends a totally different feeling to a session.
Matt + Erika ~ it was great to finally meet you. Hope you and your family enjoy these photos, and Erika, if you ever need to get rid of that coat...I'll gladly take it off your hands ;)
