dunbars {mission family photography}

I love this family. We met Doug + Sarah several years ago at our church in Mission. I spent many a Sunday chatting with Sarah in the nursery amidst cheerios and potty breaks. This amazing mom of five has such a joy-filled, peaceful presence about her and was always so calming to chat with. Her hubby Doug is also an amazing leader, musician and friend to my own hubs. These are quality people. Two years ago I did a secret session with their kiddos when their youngest, Caleb was 2 months old as a Christmas present from their neice. I peeked at that old post before we met up this past Friday at Centennial Park and marvelled, once again, at how crazy fast the little people grow up.
Doug + Sarah ~ we are blessed to call you guys friends! Oh...and Kara...thanks for all the posing help!

josh + justine {vancouver wedding photography}

Oh, this wedding. It has been an extremely hard post for me to create due to the sheer volume of images I LOVE! I know that I've mentioned it before, but watching a bride be transformed on the morning of her wedding is one of my favourite parts of this amazing job. It is a culmination of months of planning, years of visions and a lifetime of dreaming of this one particular day...the day you get to be a bride...the day you marry your love.
The makeup artist, hair dresser and bridal party will testify to the fact that I squealed quite loudly as Justine got the final layer of red painted on her lips. Her calm beauty, excited anticipation and stunning ensemble, simply took my breath away. I think the effect was quite similar on Josh as he saw her for the first time at the end of the aisle. It was the beginning of what turned out to be a stunning and memorable wedding and what promises to be a long and beautiful love.

{a huge kudos to Justine's amazing floral designer - Just Fresh Concepts for her stunning work}

{Justine's parents came to pick her up...I love their expressions when they saw her for the first time}

{Justine's parents arranged for a vintage Bentley from Time Limousine to transport her for the day}

{meanwhile, Steve was with Josh and the guys doing their man stuff}

{ringbearer and hardcore canucks fan}

{love Steve's ring shot}

{the ceremony was held at the beautiful St.Michael's in New Westminister}

{after the ceremony, it was off to Friendship Gardens and The Quay for portraits}

{another huge thanks to Colleen at Vintage Home for use of this gorgeous bench}

{this was my first time at the New Westminster Quay... I love that Josh and Justine had such great diversity in their choices for portrait locations}

{after portraits we proceeded to the Inn at the Quay for the couples reception}
{Justine's dad is an artist, so there were a lot of unique decorations and touches to the party}

{props to the bride and her father for the most awesome choreographed montage of a father/daughter dance that I have ever seen!}

~ Josh + Justine ~ it was a privilege to be a part of such a beautiful day! Steve and I enjoyed getting to know you both, as well as your awesome family and friends. We wish you much happiness and joy as your love story continues.
