jerad + margriet {wedding}

If I had to describe this wedding in two words, they would have to be laughter and beauty.  Ever since I shot Jerad + Margriet's engagement photos back in January, I had been anticipating their big day.
It really is such an honor to photograph someone's wedding. I love part of something so intimate and HUGE from start to finish. Margriet + her gals fed and "coffee'd" me when I arrived in the morning and I got to share in the nerves and preparations with her sisters and life long friends. We met up with Jerad and his boys for their "first look," at Mill Lake. Margriet had been hoping for some blossom shots and thankfully, we caught the tail end of the blooms. It was such a gorgeous moment. From there, we headed to my aunt's back deck, (check out more of her stuff at Vintage Home), and then down to Clayburn Village to finish up portraits before heading to the ceremony and reception. We did have to dodge some rain, but the day can only be described as beautiful.
Jerad + Margriet ~ thank you for such a fabulous opportunity. Not only was your wedding lovely, but you both together are lovely. I love your that you are genuine, and so full of laughter and joy. Blessings to you both!

cam + raylene {wedding} sneak peek

I am so excited to share a full post on this wedding in a few weeks, but, for now, I promised the newlyweds (you can view their engagement photos here) a sneak peek. The stunning settings for their big day had me giddy with excitement. With stops in Bridesville (how appropriate, hey?), Midway and Greenwood, British Columbia, Cam + Raylene started their marriage off in one of the loveliest backdrops I have ever been a part of. I hope you two are having a wonderful honeymoon...I'll be back with more soon!

a prom day {graduation}

This post is my second featuring the graduates of the class of 2011. You can view part one over here if you happened to miss it!  The gorgeous young folks in this post are now alumni from Mission Secondary School, and, if some of them seem familiar, it's because a number of them were either graduates or dates from that last blog I mentioned. It's a tight-knit, little community we have going on here!
So, to all the lovelies featured here today...thanks for being so good looking and fun! Thanks for letting a sweaty, pregnant chick (it was REALLY hot) tag along on such a special day. And, to the good people at Starbucks, thanks for the iced white mocha that surely saved me from dehydration!
Looking forward to next year, Grad 2012!!!!
